Wednesday, April 26, clue and solution

Welcome to another episode of Wordle, where one day we’ll run out of words, but it won’t be until 2029 or something like that, according to the global list the New York Times uses with over 2,000. And until then , I think we will forget what has already been used.

I wouldn’t consider today’s word the hardest, but because I’m not the smartest person ever, it still took me five guesses. Guess I haven’t screwed up my guesses too much though, and there are definitely Wordle rounds I’m less proud of. I’m curious to see how everyone does with today’s puzzle. I am recovering from a Wordle streak that I interrupted a few weeks ago, but everything has been fine since.

An introduction to Wordle

  • For those new to the game, read this ABC before you start playing and find out how this fashion started.

Answer and hint from today’s Wordle #312

Before I continue any further, I’m going to preface this with my usual spoiler warning that no, you shouldn’t read on if you don’t want to know the answer for any reason. If you’re here for a hint instead, I guess that’s something I can do. When this riddle is complete, I will have done this, to give you the answer.

And the answer is…

Watch !

It’s not the hardest word ever, but there are some formatting issues that might trip some people up I guess.

I started with my usual CRANE which didn’t pay off this time around. It only earned me the N somewhere in the rest of the word. From there I made KNOBS, which could be a doorknob or a British slur. It was a good guess without at least repeating the letters, and it got me the O in the right place, as well as the S. From there, I guessed STOMP, which showed me it was starting by an S, but I forgot to put an N there somewhere. I then risked everything with SWOON and double O which earned me the placement of the N at the end. From there I was shown and the rest is history.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings, but I’m slightly happy with this one despite the five guesses. See you later.
