Warzone Clip Shows Player’s Bad Attempt To Hide Cheats

Call of Duty: Warzone has a long history of cheating, with the problem becoming so severe that a special anti-cheat system had to be created for the game. Although Ricochet worked to some extent, cheating still occurs in Call of Duty: Warzoneand a player recently exposed themselves using hacks.

It’s not the first time a player has been caught cheating. Call of Duty: Warzone, however, as there have been multiple examples of something like this. Fans of the battle royale title have seen aimbot users in Call of Duty: Warzone banned on Twitch, shamed cheaters in their matches for blatantly using hacks, and saw other streamers call out fellow content creators for hacking.

The latest example of cheating in Call of Duty: Warzone comes from a regular player as opposed to a streamer, although it’s no less obvious that they’re hacking. While the cheater’s victim couldn’t see any red boxes like they would if they were looking at the hacker’s screen, the killcam’s level of accuracy is absolutely absurd. After perfectly capturing an enemy and taking them down, their sights instantly shift to ThisMemeWontDie, the Redditor who posted the clip.

Not a single shot is missed, and just like with the first enemy kill, the cheat fires the exact number of shots needed to kill ThisMemeWontDie. Unfortunately, this is nothing out of the ordinary, because Call of Duty: Warzone players catch cheaters all the time by inspecting killcams. ThisMemeWontDie also did the right thing by reporting the cheater, because for some reason the Ricochet anti-cheat system failed to detect the hack being used. However, what makes this scenario unique is the hacker’s attempt to disguise his hack and fool those watching a killcam.

At the start of the killcam, they are seen taking out one of the Call of Duty: WarzoneHeartbeat sensors from, making it seem like that’s how they knew ThisMemeWontDie was outside. In reality, they probably had wall hacks, although what makes this attempt to disguise a cheater so laughable is that it in no way excuses the hacker’s purpose. With supernatural accuracy being what really unmasked the cheater, using a heartbeat sensor is a pointless attempt to hide the hacks. Alongside 2,000 upvotes, many praised the Redditor for reporting the cheater and mocked the hacker’s heartbeat sensor trick.

with the next Call of Duty: Warzone 2 giving Raven Software a chance for a fresh start, hopefully an even better version of Ricochet will be ready on day one. While war zone had its balancing and bug issues, hackers were the biggest detriment to the game.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
