Over the years there have been so many mods for Skyrim, and this latest one gives a visual representation of all the add-ons for the special edition.

There’s still a long way to go, it seems, until The Elder Scrolls 6 makes an appearance. So, in the meantime, fans are still heavily involved in the 2011s. Skyrim, discovering new things, including bugs, and adding to game content through the use of mods. As one of the best RPG titles on PC, Bethesda’s open-world epic is big enough already, but the modding community has been hard at work over the past decade creating all sorts of mods and of add-ons, and now there’s a way to see how many there are.

As spotted by PC Gamer, modder dactyl has created an interactive map of Skyrim which gives a visual representation of all mods in the game, especially for the special edition. The topographic image is divided into squares, color-coded to show how many mods are related to that area, ranging from green to red, with red being the most mods in that section. Clicking on a square will bring up a list of all mods linked to it, with some segments listing over 400 different ones.

It’s quite an impressive creation, and it really shows how many custom add-ons the Special Edition has had over the years. Given that Skyrim has a lot of cool mods already, being able to see them in an interactive space really shows how busy the modding community has been all this time. The creator said that modders are already using the map to show conflicts or even locate areas that seem to lack mods. Even a quick glance shows that the majority of the game has created custom content, even parts of the water that surround the map.

Considering how long the game has been out, it’s no surprise that Skyrim is one of the best-selling games of the last decade, with the latest tally showing that it has sold over 30 million copies. Much of its longevity can be attributed to the ruck of talented and dedicated modders who go to great lengths to improve the vanilla format, which also includes fixing some of the issues that the developer himself has overlooked.

Although Bethesda is working hard to complete and promote star fieldtalk about The Elder Scrolls 6 is quite endemic. It has been more than ten years since Skyrim is out, so understandably many fans are starting to get a little impatient. Hopefully, the studio will release more information soon on the fate of the next installment in the long-running series.
