The future of an HD remake of GoldenEye 007, which has long been rumored to be close to release, is now in question due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
According to the Giant Bomb Jeff Grubb, Who reported earlier this year that an announcement of the game was imminent, said the project is currently “stalled due to the war.” Eurogamer also chimed in, reporting that it understood Grubb’s statement to be correct based on their own sources.
Goldenai is still in turmoil due to the war. The team lead of 1v100 has left Microsoft. I don’t know what it means to play.

There seems to be very little question about whether the remake of the classic N64-era shooter is real. A list of game acquisitions and screenshots appeared on Microsoft’s servers earlier this year, confirming the rumors that the project seems almost finished and ready for release.
Although Grubb did not elaborate further on the situation, it is easy to see why now may not be the best time to release GoldenEye 007. The game (and the plot of the film on which it is based) involves James Bond sabotage and the war against the Soviet Union, and several missions in the game take place in Russian locations such as St. Petersburg and Siberia.
GoldenEye 007 is not the only big game stuck in a stalemate due to the war in Ukraine. Nintendo’s Advance Wars 1 + 2: Reboot Camp was originally scheduled to be released for the Nintendo Switch in April, but has been postponed indefinitely due to recent “world events”.
Although Advance Wars was officially announced, the same cannot be said for the GoldenEye 007. Grubb previously reported that Microsoft would announce and release the game (it was originally created by Rare, which is now owned by Microsoft). However, the original GoldenEye 007 N64 was released by Nintendo. The rights to the James Bond license itself have changed hands many times, complicating the rights situation and being part of the reason the game has not been remade or ported for more than two decades since its original release.
GoldenEye 007 It may be a while before we see the light of day, but another James Bond video game is in the works. Hitman developer Io Interactive is currently in the process of creating a new, original game based on the iconic spy.
