One Animal Crossing: New Horizons player celebrates Final Fantasy 7 Tifa Lockhart’s birthday by recreating her iconic scenes in-game.
The vast amount of customization options that Nintendo Animal Crossing: New Horizons offers to its players often prompt them to create one-of-a-kind pieces for fans that crossover with other franchises. This includes movies, anime series, and even other video game titles, such as the popular action-RPG Ring of Elden. Recently, a ACNH player has combined his love for life simulation with another popular RPG series, Final Fantasy 7. They recreated iconic game scenes on New Horizons to celebrate Tifa Lockhart’s birthday in May.
Fans of both animal crossing and Final Fantasy often create a lot of fan art that combines the two series together. Somewhere Animal Crossing: New Horizons special villagers like Isabelle in the Final Fantasy universe, while others dress up their villagers in character outfits from the FF video games. This shows that there doesn’t seem to be a lack of love for the two franchises, and the gaming community seems to like seeing them together.
To celebrate the birthday of Final Fantasy 7by Tifa Lockhart, Japanese Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player with Twitter handle namico_x created a short video that recreated the character’s beloved and humorous scenes from the Life Sim title. For those unfamiliar with Tifa Lockhart, the character’s official in-game birthday is May 3. The video showed the artist’s villager dressed as Tifa with a variety of scenes at the character’s famous 7th Heaven bar, and even the Sector 7 slum church. Other FF7 main characters such as Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough even make cameos in the footage.
Although the video is less than a minute long, fans will likely appreciate how painstakingly namico_x captures the details of Final Fantasy 7 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. They even shared how they aged Tifa’s 7th Heaven bar, from her Midgar town look to her Edge look in FF7: Advent children. Fans will also likely enjoy namico_x’s version of Tifa’s water tower scene, and how they even made it more magical with the Animal Crossing: New Horizons shooting Stars.
According to the artist’s Twitter profile, his colleague Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can visit their island via their dream address. This means they can actually go into this incredibly detailed information. Final Fantasy scenes and take snapshots for themselves. Let’s hope that the artist keeps the scenes for a long time, because many FF7 fans will probably want to jump on them and check them out for themselves.
