An Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan is producing small physical dioramas that feature the game’s villagers in front of their island homes.
For players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, having some of the game’s beloved villagers living on their island is one of the biggest incentives for them to keep playing the life-sim title. With over 400 villagers blended across eight different personality types in animal crossing New Horizons, daily interactions can be quite unique and entertaining. Recently, a ACNH fan shared that they produced physical dioramas of their favorite villagers, and each of these displays said the villagers were beautifully positioned in front of their island homes.
When Animal Crossing: New Horizons first launched in 2020, fans of the series were probably eager to find out which villagers were making their return. ACNH brought back many community favorites and even introduced new ones like Animal Crossing Raymond, a heterochromatic and arrogant cat villager, Judy, an arrogant bear cub, Audie, a preppy wolf villager, and many more. In November’s free 2.0 content update, nine new villagers were added to the already large roster. These gave fans a slew of villagers to choose from, whether they were looking for a particular personality or aesthetic that would match the theme of their desert island getaway.
On Reddit, user effy2763 posted a short video that showed off their handcrafted dioramas of some villagers from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The clip featured two new villagers from Update 2.0, Sasha and Shino. Sasha is seen outside her modern yellow-roofed house, while Shino poses outside her Japanese-inspired home in a cherry blossom-themed diorama. In the latter part of the sequence, returning villager Marshal is shown sitting in front of his cute, neutral-colored hut. The artist shared that they created these dioramas because Sasha, Shino, and Marshal are their favorite villagers.
According to the Redditor, they print and manually build these dioramas by hand. Comments on the thread asked if the artist sells these screens, and effy2763 shared a link to their online store called ConsoleCubes. The artist also mentioned that they do custom orders, so Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans can ask them to produce dioramas of the villager of their choice. Each diorama starts at $45 CAD, or about $37 USD. The Redditor also creates dioramas for other video games such as Farming Sim Stardew Valley and pokemon, as well as anime series like Sailor Moon.
by Effy2763 Animal Crossing: New Horizons Dioramas are one of the many ways fans can display their favorite villagers in their own homes. Hopefully the artist will also produce dioramas of the other characters such as special villagers like Isabelle, Tom Nook, and Blathers.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
