Masters 2022 Expert Picks, Best Golf Bets: Prop Bets, Best Sleepers, Head-to-Head Matchups for Augusta National

Cameron Smith won his fifth career PGA Tour title at The Players Championship in March, collecting $3.6 million in the process. Smith has won two of his last four tour starts and will look to win his first major championship this week at the 2022 Masters, which begins Thursday at Augusta National Golf Club. With a victory at Masters 2022, Smith will become the first Australian to wear the green jacket since Adam Scott in 2013. Should you include Smith in your Masters 2022 bets, and will he be one of the Masters 2022 sleepers?

Caesars Sportsbook’s latest 2022 Masters odds list Smith at 16-1, the same as the world’s No. 1 ranked player, Scottie Scheffler. Jon Rahm is the 10-1 Masters favorite, while Tiger Woods is among the 2022 Masters long shots at 40-1. Before you lock in your Masters 2022 picks, be sure to check out SportsLine’s golf predictions and best bets from Mike McClure.

McClure built SportsLine’s exclusive golf model, which has been red hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model has risen more than $8,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

At The 2021 Open Championship, McClure’s best bets included winning Collin Morikawa even though it was listed as a whopping 40-1 from afar. Additionally, McClure’s pattern was all over Jon Rahm’s first career major championship win (10-1) at the 2021 US Open. Rahm was two shots off the lead going into the weekend, but the pattern always projected him as the winner.

This same model also managed seven major tournaments entering the weekend. Everyone who followed him saw massive returns.

Now, McClure has set his sights on the 2022 Masters and has just revealed his best Masters prop bets. Head to SportsLine now to see McClure’s 2022 Masters prop picks, ties and head-to-head matchups.

Bets on the props of the masters

McClure is elevated over Daniel Berger to finish in the top 10 at +450 odds. Berger was top-10 in his first Masters start in 2016 and has finished 13th or better in two of his last three PGA Tour starts.

Berger will look to continue that momentum in the 2022 Masters arena, and McClure believes he has all the tools necessary to be in the mix at Augusta National. Berger enters the 2022 Masters Tournament ranked 12th in driving accuracy percentage (67.58), eighth in strokes gained from tee to green (1.374) and ninth in strokes gained around the green (4.94). Additionally, Berger has proven he can play with the best players in the world, finishing eighth or better in his last two major championship starts. It’s easy to see why McClure identified Berger’s value this week at Augusta National.

Masters Head-to-Head Match Picks

McClure’s 2022 Masters prop picks also include Collin Morikawa (+112) vs. Rory McIlroy in a one-on-one matchup. Morikawa has been on a tear this season, achieving top 10 finishes in five of his seven official PGA Tour starts. He is one of the best ball hitters on tour, which makes him a strong contender at Augusta National. In fact, Morikawa enters the 2022 Masters ranked seventh among greens in regulation (72.22), sixth in birdie average (4.77) and 11th in scoring average (70.026).

Meanwhile, McIlroy has struggled since earning his 20th career PGA Tour victory at the CJ Cup in October. McIlroy missed the cut at last week’s Valero Texas Open and has finished 33rd or worse in his last two PGA Tour starts. McIlroy also missed the cut at the Masters a year ago.

The unique choices of the masters

McClure’s unique and completed Masters 2022 picks feature Jon Rahm, the No. 2 ranked player in the world. Rahm continues to find himself in the mix at the Masters, earning four consecutive top-10 finishes at Augusta National. He has recorded a top five finish in 2021 and has finished in the top 10 in his last six major championship starts. It’s easy to see why McClure includes the Spaniard in his 2022 Masters and finished picks.
