GOAT will become Paris Saint-Germain’s new shirt sleeve sponsor next season

Paris Saint Germain announced a new partnership that means seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi will play with the word ‘GOAT’ on his sleeve next season [if he decides to stay].

It was announced on Thursday that the GOAT sneaker market had signed a multi-year deal with the Ligue 1 side to become an official sponsor of the rounds.

The GOAT branding will be displayed on all club kits, including training, warm-up and match wear from July 2022 after signing a three-year, €50m deal, according to the French publication L’Equipe.

PSG announced the news Thursday on their social networks.

They wrote: “PSG and the global digital and lifestyle platform @goatapp announce an important multi-year partnership, sealing the presence of π—šπ—’π—”π—§ on the sleeve of the Parisian jersey from next season, with exclusive and innovative collaborations to come.”

So what is the goat? According to their official website, the tech platform features apparel and accessories from the world’s leading contemporary, fashion-forward and luxury brands after its inception in 2015 to bring “trust” to the sneaker community.

Thanks to its positioning between the primary market and the resale market, the company is able to bring out the styles of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Sellers, including retailers and boutiques, can list their items for sale on GOAT.

GOAT will join the club as an official partner until the end of the current season before becoming the club’s sleeve partner and one of the main partners from July.
