Fortnite’s v20.20 update brings a slew of changes for players, and from April 22 through May 2, The Origin will be offering Covert Ops quests for anyone who wants to take them on. The reward? The Secret Sledge Pickaxe, a free harvesting tool to use in-game. There will be a total of four quests, with each quest lasting two or four days. Players will also need to complete the previous quest before they can start the next quest, so since each quest is only available for a limited time, be sure to complete each Covert Ops quest before the timer expires.
The dates and times for each quest are as follows:
Quest 1 will start on April 22 at 9:00 a.m. ET and end on April 26 at 8:59 a.m. ET
Goals: Stage 1: Uplink Device in Zero Build (Logjam, Sleepy Sound, Tilted Towers, Sanctuary, Greasy Grove, Condo Canyon) Stage 2: Eliminate Players in Zero Build (0/10) Reward: 30,000 XP
Quest 2 will start on April 26 at 9:00 a.m. ET and end on April 28 at 8:59 a.m. ET

Quest 4 will start on April 30 at 9:00 a.m. ET and end on May 2 at 8:59 a.m. ET

According to iFireMonkey on Twitter, upon completing the Covert Ops quest, players will receive a token that will allow them to either repeat the Covert Ops mission for that week or potentially allow early access to the next Covert Ops quest. They also shared what appear to be each quest’s objectives in the tweet, which we’ve listed along with each quest’s times above.
iFireMonkey also shared a preview of what the Secret Sledge will look like, which, in what should surprise no one, is a big hammer. It has red, yellow, orange, brown and black accents on the hammer head with a long black handle.
Each quest will stay active until the minute the next one begins, so if you just need to complete one last objective and it’s 8 AM ET, you’ll still have 59 minutes to complete the quest and become eligible for the next one. Be sure to come back here as each quest goes live for guides on how to complete them and claim that Secret Sledge Pickaxe for yourself; Until then, take a look at the new changes in v20.20 or our list of the best Chapter 3 Season 2 landing spots.
