Elden Ring Modder tries to make multiplayer seamless by removing disconnects after death

YouTuber LukeYui is working on a mod for Elden Ring that makes multiplayer smoother by removing disconnects after death.

Elden Ring’s co-op works much the same as other FromSoft games, allowing players to join others via summon signs and then disappear after defeating a boss or if one of the players is killed.

This was criticized a bit in Elden Ring thanks to the size of the game and how some players just want to stick with their friends to experience the Lands Between. YouTuber LukeYui is working on a mod that aims to fix this problem by making multiplayer more seamless and removing some of the more annoying elements from how it works.

GAME VIDEO OF THE DAY

Two videos showing the mod have been posted on LukeYui’s YouTube. One shows seamless multiplayer in action, with the co-op player spawning without the use of a summon sign or Furlcalling Finger Remedy. The main player then dies at the Tree Sentinel (vibe, by the way) and is able to rejoin the match without logging out of the game.

The second video shows off some of the features to expect from the mod, including spectating on death during a boss fight to complete the challenge, voting on where to fast travel on the map, and syncing waypoints between the two. players.

LukeYui describes the mod in the first video as a “mod that removes all multiplayer limits and allows connections to persist after death. Play with tutorial friends at the very end of the game, with synchronized progression, and no resume or interruption.”

As for the mod’s release date, here’s what LukeYui had to say in his latest showcase, “I still have work to do, thanks for your patience. Elden Ring update 1.04 caused some setbacks but I’m getting back on track. The mod needs to be more stable and some more missing features need to be added before a full release.
