The Iron Banner is back in Destiny 2 Season of the Ressus with the weekly update on Tuesday, April 12, giving you your second of three weeks to complete Lord Saladin’s “What We Survive” quest. It’s a short quest with only five steps that offers Iron Banner weapons every step of the way. Season 16’s Iron Banner introduced two new weapons: Frontier’s Cry hand cannon and Razor’s Edge sword. The quest is worth completing because not only do you earn Iron Banner’s two new weapons, but you can also get updated versions of the old ones. Starting this season, all Iron Banner weapons now include the original Skulking Wolf trait, which gives you improved radar and allows you to evade enemy radar after final hits when your team goes hunting , which happens when your team captures all areas.
As your chances of completing the What We Survive quest are dwindling (only one Iron Banner left after Tuesday’s), you’re also running out of time to turn in the Iron Banner tokens. Tokens previously awarded during the event will be removed from the game at the end of the Risen Season and replaced with a new reputation system, meaning you only have this week and another to spend those tokens and earn Iron Banner gear. . The same goes for Lord Saladin’s Iron Banner bounties, so it’s a good idea to spend your tokens this week as you earn them.
Be sure to put on your Iron Forerunner armor set pieces from Season of the Lost if you want to activate the Iron Lord’s Pride perk, which gives you a chance to earn Enhancement Prisms after Battle Banner matches. iron. You can stack this perk up to four times while wearing four pieces of armor. If you don’t have armor pieces from last season, you can drop them after completing Iron Banner matches. Also, you don’t need to complete this quest to get Frontier’s Cry or Razor’s Edge – you can get these new weapons by turning in tokens to Saladin.
What We Survive Quest
Step 1
- Defeat 30 Guardians
- Capture 10 areas
- Get 15 Void or Solar final blows
You can complete this stage in a match or two, and be sure to keep a Void or Solar subclass with your elemental weapons to get those final hits. Although this is a simple quest step, the only thing that can stun you is the power level. Since this is the first Iron Banner of Season 16 and The Witch Queen DLC, you need to be above the 1500 Power Level soft cap as level perks are enabled. Additionally, the seasonal artifact power bonus is disabled in Iron Banner.
Awards: Frontier’s Cry Hand Cannon and Legendary Gear.
2nd step
- Complete 6 Iron Banner matches
- Capture 20 areas
- Get 15 hand cannon final blows
Progress from previous stages can carry over to the next stage, so you will enter this quest with some areas already captured. The Frontier’s Cry you receive will be a red-rimmed resonance weapon, so you can use it to kill your hand cannon.
Reward: Legendary Equipment
Step 3
- Defeat 100 Guardians
- Capture 30 areas
- Get 10 sniper or glaive final blows
This stage includes the possibility of playing at close range with a gladius or at a distance with a sniper. You don’t need to get another streak of 100 Guardian kills for this stage, as the progression continues from the previous stages.
Awards: Razor’s Edge and Legendary Gear
Step 4
- Get 15 Super kills
- Capture 40 areas
- Get 5 final blows with sword or melee
You can again use your glaive here as it counts as a melee weapon. Your sword will require you to grab heavy ammo, so it wouldn’t hurt to use a glaive – which uses special ammo but doesn’t require ammo for melee attacks – if you don’t reach heavy ammo first. the timer runs out when he appears. Much like the Frontier’s Cry hand cannon, you can also use your Razor’s Edge reward from the previous stage here.
Reward: Legendary Equipment
Step 5
Talk to Lord Saladin at the tower to complete the quest.
