Since Genshin Impact offers many rewards for completing daily missions, a fan does his errands in the hospital.
While many aspects of gaming benefit from advancing technology, there’s something to be said for how much mobile gaming has changed over the past few years. Players have gone from apps that only offer small puzzles and challenges to games that allow them to explore entire worlds on their smartphones. Genshin Impact sees players traversing many areas like the Spiral Abyss throughout their playthrough, and one dedicated player decided to work on their daily missions right after surgery.
Like many other mobile titles, Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game that uses a login and daily mission system to keep fans coming back every day. For those who complete these missions before they reset at 2 AM PT, they can claim around 60 Primogems, among many other rewards. Successively completing their daily commissions will give players rare story keys, so these missions have become rather important for regular players.
This had led a fan on Reddit who had just had surgery to grab his tablet to do his Genshin Impact daily errands in the hospital. Player u/Lost-Adventure also shared a photo showing them working on the Tales of Winter commission while lying in their hospital bed. Fittingly, the post’s comments are filled with other fans wishing them a speedy recovery.
The idea of players doing their dailies after milestone events in their lives is a bit of a running joke among Genshin Impact players. Lost-Adventure even states in their post that they were inspired by @genshashin on Twitter to create their own version. Genshashin has been seen making similar jokes while vacationing in other countries, as well as playing through their errands at a wedding, with photographic evidence.
Genshin Impact Commissions are randomized, either changing between regions each day or matching player-chosen regions. Despite the fact that Lost-Adventure should rest, many players have noted that the particular mission they’re playing in the screenshot is a rare and hard-to-obtain Mondstadt quest that players prefer over other more tedious options.
Due to the scarcity of commission, many players agree that they would also play Genshin Impact after surgery if they knew they had this daily mission waiting for them upon logging in. Lost-Adventure has yet to respond to the well wishes left on their message, but it’s clear that many gamers understand and admire the players’ dedication to the popular HoYovere game.
Genshin Impact is out now on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Nintendo Switch port in development.
