Dead by Daylight Update 5.7.1 is live

Soon to celebrate its sixth anniversary, Behavior Interactive’s Dead in broad daylight is still a pretty solid choice for online co-op horror, especially among the streaming community. Sitting up there with people like Phasmophobia and Left 4 Dead 2, it’s one of the best multiplayer horror titles to play with others, and it’s not hard to see why. Along with its roster of characters and monsters from movie franchises, the studio continues to produce new villains and heroes, and in the meantime, general updates are on the way.


In a recent post on the official Twitter page, patch 5.7.1 for Dead in broad daylight is now online. Simply called a “bug fix”, it comes with a litany of fixes for some known issues. One of the things many will notice is that Ghost Face’s chase music has had its volume lowered. The patch notes say this is only a temporary fix, as the studio is apparently working on new music together. There are also fixes for character issues, such as the killer not being able to pick up a survivor at the bottom of the basement stairs.

As mentioned above, the game will soon be six years old, with a Dead in broad daylight anniversary airing this month to kick off the usual festivities in June. The show will invite fans to reminisce about what this past year has meant to them in terms of gameplay. There would also be a roadmap for Year 7, as well as upcoming quality of life improvements, additional updates of things like gameplay and the Chapter 24 reveal. It all happens on May 17.

  • Fixed an issue that caused an interaction started by double-clicking on the Stadia platform to continue without holding the button down without the Toggle Interaction option enabled.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the wrong lobby theme music to play when the Little Red Gaming Fit Outfit for Feng Min was equipped.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the fifth House of the Arkham journal entry to read in English instead of Japanese.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Survivors to continue making wound noises when fully recovering while in Madness Level 3.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented the selected Survivor from being saved when restarting the game.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented entering the game by denying consent to use the Nintendo Account. (Switch only)
  • Fixed an issue that prevented a Survivor using Dead Hard from being able to land on Luggage in Ormond Map.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the Killer to physically block a Survivor near one of the Gideon’s exit doors.
  • Fixed an issue that caused an inaccessible green glyph on the Car Crusher tile in the Wrecker’s Yard map.
