Blizzard is announcing an upcoming Diablo Immortal event that could mean its ARPG will hit phones sooner than fans expected.
Since Diablo Immortal‘s and the “You don’t have a phone?” controversy, there have been questions about how mobile Diablo will be received. Yet with Diablo 4with the launch seeming to be further and further away, anxious fans are no doubt interested in everything Diablo content that Blizzard may make available. That day could also be coming soon, as Blizzard has announced a special Diablo Immortal event scheduled for Monday.
This Diablo Immortal-the targeted event will officially start at 7:30 a.m. ET on April 25, which is a little odd considering what time it will be for West Coast viewers. Otherwise, Blizzard has not shared any further information about the event. All the YouTube stream page for tomorrow’s broadcast says is, “Diablo Immortal news coming soon.” Further, he asks Diablo fans to pre-register for Diablo Immortalthe eventual release of – whenever it may be.
Over the past few months, Blizzard has revealed a significant amount of information regarding Diablo Immortal. In March, he shared details about Diablo Immortalcosmetics, legendary gems and resonance levels, and the ability of players to change classes. In February, Diablo Immortalthe game director thanked the participants of the closed beta and the Diablo community, encouraging them to look forward to news in the months to come. In December, a series of short animated lore videos were shared on Twitter. Some would say Blizzard built something.
the Diablo Immortal The community is somewhat divided as to what Monday’s announcement might be. Some think Blizzard might postpone Diablo Immortaleither end of 2022 or even 2023. Others think it could be an official release date announcement, if not the full launch of Diablo Immortal. They argue that if Diablo Immortal was delayed, Blizzard wouldn’t make it an event.
Diablo Immortal was first announced in 2018, so Diablo fans have been waiting for the launch of the mobile game for a long time. It was tentatively scheduled to release in 2021, only for Blizzard to delay the game to the first half of 2022 last August. The status of the game is likely heavily dependent on closed beta feedback for Diablo Immortal. If players think it needs more development time, Blizzard is likely to take it.
All Diablo fans can do is tune in to Blizzard’s event tomorrow and hope for the best. Again, the Diablo Immortal the event will air at 4:30 a.m. PT / 7:30 a.m. ET. The reason for this early event is unclear, but if it was bad news, Blizzard probably wouldn’t be hosting an event at all. A release date could be confirmed soon.
Diablo Immortal is expected to release in the first half of 2022 on iOS and Android devices.
