Biden family corruption could sink midterm Democrats

A former adviser to Bill Clinton said on Sunday that the Biden family’s corrupt business could hurt Democrats’ chances of retaining the House and Senate in 2022.

In a Hill editorial, Douglas Schoen wrote that the Biden family business is “growing rapidly” into a massive scandal that “threatens to boil over into a major election issue.”

Democrats have already lost Republican momentum as polls show the GOP has leads on enthusiasm, hot issues and wildcard balloting. Congressional Democrats have been crushed by the weight of Biden’s 40-year high inflation, supply chain issues, border crisis and rising crime.

Schoen acknowledged the federal investigation into Joe Biden’s family and warned “as more information comes to light, the risk of this becoming an issue for the president increases.”

Hunter is under investigation by the FBI for tax evasion, money laundering and violation of lobbying laws. Joe Biden has brazenly claimed time and time again that he had no knowledge of his family’s corrupt business dealings.

But text messages, photos and reported meetings suggest otherwise. In fact, Biden has been involved with the Biden family business 11 times. In a text message from Hunter to his daughter, Hunter revealed Joe Biden’s family payment vehicle. The detailed mechanism indicates a collection of 50% of family wages for 30 years.

“I hope you can all do what I did and pay for everything for this whole family for 30 years,” Hunter described in text messages to her daughter. “It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike Pop [Joe]I won’t force you to give me half your salary.

According to former Utah U.S. attorney Brett Tolman, the Biden family business could expose the heart of an established business enterprise that could involve legal “predicates” for racketeering charges.

Schoen also noted that the Biden family business was engaged with a state-owned Chinese energy company, CEFC China Energy Company, in which Hunter made a $4.8 million profit. Schon writes:

If it is proven that President Biden was not only involved in Hunter’s trade deals with Chinese state-owned companies, but profited from them, it would be a politically calamitous development for the president.

If that were the case – and I caution against jumping to conclusions without all the facts – it’s easy to see how the Biden hunter the saga will grow from a private family matter to a much larger political issue that calls into question the integrity of President Biden.

Indeed, if there is evidence that President Biden actively facilitated Hunter’s business interests for the collective benefit of the Biden family, there will be real political damage.

Schoen’s comments come after Biden was asked about his involvement in his family business. He repeatedly stated that he never told Hunter about the family business and that nothing illegal was done.

In the 2020 election, Joe Biden even called Hunter’s “hell laptop” a “Russian factory” and a “smear campaign.”
