STG44

As the default Assault Rifle in Vanguard and Warzone Pacific, the STG44 was designed from the ground up as a well-rounded weapon. The stock version of the STG44 is decent, but it can be significantly improved with just a few attachments. Our best STG44 loadout combines power and precision with ease of use, giving you a primary weapon that performs well in the hands of a beginner or a seasoned pro. Many of its meta attachments received buffs starting in Season 3, which improve damage range and bullet speed and make the STG44 even more effective.

Cooper rifle

While the Cooper Carbine can be used as a primary weapon, we prefer using the best Cooper Carbine loadout which focuses on close to medium range encounters. By sacrificing the weapon’s long-range capabilities, we can boost its performance up close to turn the Cooper Carbine into a deadly secondary weapon. This Assault Rifle is especially devastating when shooting multiple enemies thanks to its incredible control stats, making it easy to latch on to your next target.

AUTOMATON

The Automaton may have been nerfed shortly after Warzone Pacific launched, but that failed to keep this large assault rifle grounded. What makes Automaton’s best loadout so deadly is its lack of recoil, even when firing from a distance. This weapon is a sniper’s best friend as it produces virtually no recoil, although you should use the best Automaton loadout.

The Cold War AK-47 in the Call of Duty: Warzone preview menu

AK-47 (cold war)

The Cold War version of the AK-47 has it all: power, control and mobility. As a sniper support weapon, there is arguably no better weapon than the Cold War AK-47. If you want to get the most out of this weapon, check out our best Warzone AK47 loadout to see the weapon’s true potential.

M4A1

This Warzone Assault Rifle is a beast in multiplayer and that’s still true in Warzone. Almost no recoil can be reduced to zero with a few attachments, iron sights are so good you don’t need optics, you can fit a 60 round magazine in there and top it off with a monolithic suppressor for you keep off the radar. High rate of fire, solid damage profile, and the easiest recoil to control. Already. Check out our M4A1 loadout for Warzone to get the most out of this AR.

XM4

After the XM4 received some much needed upgrades, it became one of the most versatile weapons in the entire game. The XM4 is a great option for players looking for a powerful weapon at all ranges. Read our best XM4 loadout guide to see how you can build this amazing assault rifle.

BAR

Usually powerful weapons have the handicap of being inaccurate, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with the best BAR loadout. The BAR arguably has the worst rate of fire on this list, however, each bullet hits enemies like a truck. Load this weapon with the attachments to reduce its strong recoil, and you can build yourself an assault rifle that can take out enemies with ease.

FARA 83

The FARA 83 has been in an ideal position since the launch of Warzone Pacific, combining ease of use and impressive damage. Think along the same lines as the STG44, but with better long range damage. If you’re looking for a great Assault Rifle to take out medium to long range enemies, check out our best FARA 83 loadout.

C58

The C58 has well-balanced stats in almost every category, making it an easy weapon to pick up for the first time. Using our best C58 loadout, the only thing you need to be careful of is its slow rate of fire compared to other assault rifles. This makes it a little harder to take out enemies at close range, but that’s not a problem as the C58 wasn’t designed for close range combat.

The stock CR-56 AMAX assault rifle in the Call of Duty: Warzone preview menu

CR-56 AMAX

The CR-56 AMAX takes the highest damage from assault rifles like the Scar and AK-47 and offers more manageable recoil and a faster rate of fire. Basically, its magazine capacity can be expanded far beyond that of the Oden and Scar, making it viable for squad fights. Although it received a nerf recently, this assault rifle is still worth including in your loadouts. Try our CR-56 AMAX Warzone setup for high damage, decent ranged performance, and recoil that won’t send half your shots skyward.

FFAR 1

The FFAR 1 is a great option as a sniper support weapon due to its mobility stats which make it deadly at close range. Use our best FFAR 1 loadout to take out enemies up close, just like some of the best SMGs. This weapon can handle enemies at medium range, but it’s worth equipping the best Kar98k loadout to deal with all ranged opponents.

EM2

Don’t let the stock version of the EM2 fool you into thinking this gun isn’t worth your time. When configured with the proper attachments, the EM2’s low aiming speed can be greatly improved, making the gun instantly viable. Try the best EM2 loadout to understand what makes this weapon so special.

NZ-41

The stock NZ-41 is the most powerful assault rifle in the game, but it comes at a cost: poor mobility and recoil control. Luckily, there are a number of key adjustments you can make in the Gunsmith to address these issues while also boosting the strength of the weapon. With the best NZ-41 loadout, you can down enemies with just four bullets, and if you can land headshots, it only takes two hits to knock someone down.

The base version of the Volk in the Call of Duty Warzone Pacific preview menu

Volks

The stock version of the Volk barely resembles the monster we can craft with the gunsmith. Equip the right attachments to turn this assault rifle into a highly mobile weapon, more like an SMG. Use the best Volk loadout to instantly shoot your opponents as soon as you spot them thanks to the Gung-Ho perk, giving you the ability to shoot while sprinting. Season 3 introduced a minor set of buffs for the Volk, making it slightly more effective in mid-range fights, but still more at home in CQB scenarios.

Nikita AVT

Season 3 introduces the Nikita AVT, which boasts a solid kill time provided you can control the recoil. Its default rate of fire is among the fastest in the AR category, and like the AS44 and Volk, this weapon is best when you take it to the gunsmith and equip it like an SMG.

AS44

The AS44 looked set to dominate in Warzone Pacific thanks to its lightning-fast rate of fire, but the stock AS44 is just too much to control. In our experience, there doesn’t seem to be a reliable way to use this weapon as your primary weapon without sacrificing the best functionality of the AS44. Instead, use the best AS44 loadout to build the weapon as an SMG, allowing you to split your opponents up close.

GRAU 5.56

The Grau is incredibly easy to use with almost no recoil, high bullet speed, and low damage drop over long distances. Combine these qualities with the best Grau loadout for Warzone and you have an AR that can hold its own in any situation and that you can use without having a Shroud-like objective.

ITRA RAFALE

Weapon balancing in Warzone Pacific is fantastic considering the number of guns in the game, that being said, there are always guns that fall through the cracks. The Itra Burst falls into this category because it doesn’t have any standout features that separate it from the rest of assault rifles. Unless this weapon receives a major buff, there’s almost no reason to use it unless you’re looking for a challenge.

In July 2021, the State of California filed a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard alleging years of workplace discrimination and harassment. The story has since embroiled CEO Bobby Kotick and prompted the US federal government to launch an investigation. It continues to expand and be of immense importance to the video game industry. You can keep up to date with all the developments so far in this regularly updated explanatory article.
